Do you like to work “behind the scenes?"  The Operations Team is the place for you! We have “I’ll Try It” serving opportunities that are a great way to explore where you fit in without making a long-term commitment.  We need you and you can make a difference!

We have a place for you! Please contact someone on our team if you would like to serve or have any questions. 

• Clerical tasks—Making copies, putting booklets together, helping with bulk mailings (copying, folding, envelope stuffing, and adding labels),
• Organizing and Sorting- files and documents.  

Flexible schedule or on call. 

Prepare bulletins by copying, cutting inserts and stuffing on Thurs. mornings from 9:00-11:00 am. Serve on rotation basis. Contact Sally Wilson, Communications Director, with any questions (989.430.0952 or communications@mefchurch.org).

Between first and second service. Encourage your teen to serve in this vital role. Teens we need you – set the example of service for your peers.

Light cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, windows, and other tasks. Schedule varies.

Fill carafes with pre-made coffee.  Sundays at 8:00 am

Holidays and special events.

Small to large projects, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, etc. As needed.

Planting, pruning, landscaping and cutting the grass. As needed.

Answering the phone, helping with clerical tasks. Mornings or afternoons.

Do you have a trade or professional that could provide knowledge or advice to our staff? For example, we currently have a committee looking at our HVAC systems and sharing ways we could be more efficient. 

On Sunday or any day of the week. Snow shoveling, salting and plowing. We will add your name to our on-call list.
