There is great need for aid and relief funds due to the 7.0 Haiti earthquake experienced January 12, 2010. As a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), Midland Free is partnering with EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response who is actively coordinating ministry partner efforts through the EFCA Southeast District, an EFCA church planter in Haiti and key ministry partners. If you would like to bring help and hope to people devastated by this catastrophe you can respond in the following ways.

Pray

  • For the thousands of Haitians struggling to survive, that help would reach them in time.
  • For the leaders and members of the church plant in Port-au-Prince.
  • For the people of Haiti as they experience loss, pain and death.
  • For funds for those in this desperate situation.
  • For crisis responders.
  • For Mark Lewis and the Crisis Response team as they determine how God would have the EFCA respond. Mark Lewis is a missionary who is supported by Midland Free.
  • For the many missionaries that serve there as they respond and live out Christ in the midst of tragedy.
  • That God would move in this crisis and that people would come to know and trust Him.

EFCA (Evangelical Free Church of America) TouchGlobal is coordinating a response in connection with the EFCA Southeast District superintendent and an EFCA church planter in Port-au-Prince. Other partner ministries, NGOs and relief organizations have been contacted in Haiti as well. As soon as base is set up with the essentials, teams will be sent.
