Mission Statement

To connect men at Midland Free and encourage spiritual growth with the goal of “making, maturing and mulitiplying” disciples of Christ. Our mission is based on Matthew 28:19a where Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples” and 2 Timothy 2:2, which calls upon reliable men to teach others Biblical instruction and application.

Mentoring Opportunities

One-on-one mentoring relationship

  • One-on-one mentoring relationship
  • A small group study
  • Apprentice program to train future leaders by joining a small group and being trained by the small group leader

What is a mentor?

Mentors are older or more experienced Christian men who:

  • help younger men find the way
  • serve as a resource
  • help in time of need
  • listen and offer Godly guidance

How do men get together?

We strive to combine mentoring and discipling. Men who are more mature in their walk with God are prayerfully matched with men desiring to grow spiritually or needing guidance in a particular area of life. Possible methods, with the Bible being the foundation, are:

  • Bible studies
  • reading books
  • praying
  • getting together to talk

What is the time commitment?

Duration of the commitment is from September to June
