Children’s Worship meets from September 7, 2008 through June 7, 2009 and invites all K - 5th Graders to attend in Room 116 at 9:00 or 10:45 am.

We will be learning about the Fruit of the Spirit in our 2008-2009 ministry year.

Children will sing, pray, share their tithes and talents, learn Biblical truths and gather in small groups in their age-appropriate style of worship.

Kindergarten through 5th graders are welcome to Children’s Worship to worship and praise the Almighty God who is the giver of all good gifts - even fruit.

Children’s Worship gathers on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:45 am and complements what the children are learning in their Sunday School classrooms. Parents are always welcome to come and worship with their children.

Scope and Sequence of Study

Children’s Worship imparts to children a vision of God, who He is, and who we are in relation to Him, and to establish them with a foundation of doctrine and truth.  Children’s Worship complements what our students are learning in Sunday School and provides an age-appropriate worship experience where K-5th Graders can respond to God and express their delight in Him.

We worship and honor God through singing songs of praise, sharing our offerings and talents, listening to God’s Word using dramas, puppets, scripture and object lessons. Children’s Worship is a BIG GROUP experience with small group time which builds relationships with friends and an adult shepherd while reinforcing Bible truths and simple life applications.

Students attending Children’s Worship also participate in Midland Free’s Unified Theme as we learn to be a people of I.M.P.A.C.T. for Christ in our community, our region and our world.

Children’s Worship is offered mid-September through mid-June at 9:00 am and repeated at 10:45 am. 4th & 5th Graders may be God’s Servers with a signed Parent Permission Slip during one service time on a monthly rotation schedule.

Children's Worship follows a five-year rotation of study as listed below.

The Fruit of the Spirit

On a tropical island setting, students explore the expressions of each fruit of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives, and learn to cultivate attitudes that will lead us to know God better and become the fruitful people He designed us to be.

God’s People Celebrate

God’s people always have the best reasons to rejoice! Students discover God’s greatness as they celebrate His festivals which He designed to be hands-on experiences reinforcing what He wanted to teach His people. Our lessons will give us an understanding of the vast scope of God’s celebrations, spanning years and cultures to remind us of who God is and what He has done.

He Has Been Clearly Seen

All creation gives powerful testimony to the greatness and worth of the one, true, eternal Creator. With special attention given to the Genesis account, the students will view creation as a wonderful gift from a good and loving Creator who wants them to see, understand, and delight in His glory.

God’s Big Picture

Yeehaw! In cowboy style students will take a walk through the Bible in a chronological order to better understand God’s perfect plan and His purpose for us and our world.

How Majestic is Your Name

The names of God are wonderful revelations of His majestic character. Set within the walls of a castle, students will learn Hebrew names of God in the Old Testament and names of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. Each lesson encourages children to see and rejoice in the goodness and greatness of God as they explore the meaning of His glorious names.
