Midland Evangelical Church

New Adventures is a very welcoming Small Church attended by people in the 40+ age bracket. Our primary focus is to provide sound Bible teaching and fellowship in a small group setting. We alternate between New and Old Testament book studies and special topics, such as Taking Your Faith to Work. The study sessions promote active discussions during class time.

New Adventures Small Church is very engaged in missions and ministries. New Adventures supports two Midland Free missionary families serving in Ireland and Japan with prayer, e-mails, gifts and personal service through short-term mission trips. One of our families is now in the process of joining the mission team in Japan. We are actively engaged in a wide variety of ministries, including but not limited to: Celebrate Recovery, Stephen Ministry, Medical Missions, Marriage Ministry, Men’s Ministries, Worship Arts Ministries, Welcome Ministries, Discipleship Groups, Youth and Children’s Ministries, Mentoring and Work Ministry.

Individuals in New Adventures face similar stage-of-life concerns such as parenting teenagers, helping children transition to adulthood (college, early career, and marriage), caring for aging parents/losing parents, transitioning to an “empty nest,” and retirement. The Small Church environment enables us to discuss these concerns, offer insights and pray for each other. We have a prayer team that commits to praying for requests that are submitted each week.

New Adventures Small Church is very social. We enjoy a time of snacks and socializing before the beginning of class. We also have quarterly social events that enable us to get to know each other better.
