Calling All Men To Huddle Up
In sports a huddle is a brief gathering of a team's players to receive instruction for the next play of the game. When that huddle breaks up, each person has a different assignment; some are to block, some to run, some to catch, etc. The goal of winning the game is common to every person on the team.
When it comes to men and godly living, we need to do the same thing. We need to have brief gatherings where we are encouraged, instructed and sometimes challenged. When we break from the huddle, all have different assignments; some to evangelize, some to mentor, some to listen. The goal of becoming stronger in Christ remains common to everyone in the huddle.
