Gary T. deBock

Born in Utrecht, Netherlands in 1958, Gary  made a commitment to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1973. After earning a bachelor's degree (1980) in biology from The King's College in New York he intended to go to medical school.

Finding that his passion and joy were in teaching God's Word in practical ways, he went to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.

Upon graduation from seminary in 1983, Gary accepted a call to be the first full-time pastor of a small, beginning work called Trinity Fellowship in Big Rapids. In the years to follow, Gary and his wife, Kathy, watched their family grow to five with the addition of Benjamin (1984), Rebekah (1987) and Matthew (1990).

In addition to his work as a Senior Pastor, Gary is an Ordination Council Moderator with the Evangelical Free Church. He has spoken at many camps and often has done training sessions for camp staffs. He has also been involved with international ministries in Haiti, Guyana, and other parts of the world. In 1996 he graduated again from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with a doctorate of ministry degree.

Gary's personal mission statement reads, "To multiply glory to God by equipping disciples to be change agents." He enjoys developing practical "batons" of truth that he can pass on to others so that they can pass them on to still others
(2 Timothy 2:2). Some of these have been passed on through the coaching of other pastors and church leaders.

TimberWolf Lake requests our cooperation regarding the following:  No pets, alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms, dangerous knives, fireworks or explosives.  Smoking is not permitted in any area (inside and outside of the buildings) of 
TimberWolf Lake.
 

Driving Directions to TimberWolf Lake

From Midland, take US-10 north towards Clare. At Clare, stay on US-10 until you merge onto US 127 north. Take the M-55 exit at Houghton Lake, turn left (west) onto M-55 to Lake City. At light in Lake City (McDonald’s on the corner), turn right (north) onto M-66.  Follow M-66 north for 4.6 miles. Look for TimberWolf Lake sign on left-hand side, turn into drive and follow drive approximately .8 miles, turning right into parking area for registration.

Plan time of arrival between 5:00-7:00 p.m.
