10 Second Prayer

This is an aspect of Prayer Ministries in which all members and regular attenders are encouraged to participate. It involves taking 10 seconds to pray for someone immediately. Prayer Ministries is working to make this a customary part of our culture at Midland Free.

Prayer Teams

The objective of Prayer Teams is to have a team of people supporting each ministry and each member of our Pastoral Team in prayer on a regular basis. The team is expected to meet occasionally and keep contact with the ministry to understand the needs of the ministry.

Service Prayer Support

This ministry provides a team of people to pray for and during each of our services on Sunday mornings. Members of the service support team are expected to make a commitment to pray once each month.

Post-Service Intercession

Trained intercessors are located at the front of the Worship Center at the end of each service to pray with people who desire it.

Prayer Walking

A ministry focused on prayer for our community by physically going into neighborhoods on a regular basis to walk and "pray onsite with insight."

Routing of Prayer Requests

This is a ministry that occurs primarily in Small Churches. On a church-wide basis, prayer requests are often placed in the offering bag or called into the church office. These prayer requests are forwarded to the Pastoral Team and the Elders for prayer.

Training in Prayer

Prayer Ministries recognizes that some people are uncomfortable with praying and are looking for help in how to get started. From time to time classes and seminars on prayer are offered.

Special Prayer Events

Prayer Ministries provides special events throughout the year which may include seminars with guest speakers, prayer vigils, prayer walks or other activities to help Midland Free focus on special prayer needs.
